Don't fail to read good books

"Some books are to be tasted, others to be swallowed, and some few to be chewed and digested." - Sir Francis Bacon

"The road to knowledge begins with the turn of the page."

"The books that help you most are those which make you think the most."

“The man who doesn't read good books has no advantage over the man who can't read them” - Mark Twain

“Reading is to the mind what exercise is to the body.”

Good books are indeed great source for information and knowledge. However, you need to spend time reading to acquire the necessary information and knowledge. Anyway, remember that it is not how many of them you can get through, but rather how many can get through to you.

Read books. They are good for us.

As Francis Bacon also said, "Reading maketh a full man.". As we are now more conscious of a healthy diet for our bodies, let's not forget to have healthy diets for our minds.

Blessings!

Hi Jennifer,

True! There are indeed many great books to read. Maybe the way to go about it is to pick the best!

We should buy the quality and not buying pounds of paper.

Blessings to you, Jennifer.

Hi Trinity,

Thanks for your comments.

There are books that blog might not be able to replace totally such as the Bible - right?

Blessings to you, Trinity.

Hi Haze,

Thanks for sharing your feeling about reading. Indeed, to enjoy reading, we need some quiet time.

If you want to be successful, remember this bible verse:

Joshua 1:8 - "This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success."

Blessings to you, Haze.

Hi Trinity,

I am glad that you read THE BOOK.

The Bible is a book of books. According to 2 Timothy 3:16-17 - "All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, (17) that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work."

Thus, although we can substitute some books by reading blogs but that is not the case for the Bible.

Blessings to you, Trinity.
