Stay healthy

Health is not valued till sickness comes.

“Worthless people live only to eat and drink; people of worth eat and drink only to live.” - Socrates

“The secret of health for both mind and body is not to mourn for the past, worry about the future, or anticipate troubles, but to live in the present moment wisely and earnestly.” - Buddha

“To keep the body in good health is a duty... otherwise we shall not be able to keep our mind strong and clear.” - Buddha

You are what you eat.

He that eats till he is sick must fast till he is well.

It's true that some people don't value health until they are sick. This is especially the case to people who want to live their lives having fun. They should change that attitude and be healthwise

I believe God wants us to look after our bodies, he created them after all and therefore we shouldn't be mistreating them!

All things in moderation though!

Hi Wally,
You are right! Some because of wanting to have fun at times had gone overboard. Well, hope those who want to have fun remember that when they fall sick, it won't be fun anymore.

Hi Melanie,
I agree. In the Bible, there is a warning from 1 Corinthians 3:16-17 which says: "Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? If anyone defiles the temple of God, God will destroy him. For the temple of God is holy, which temple you are."

Thus, we need to take good care of our body.

I agree with moderation. Everything taken without moderation is definitely not good. I think that some food manufactures cosider a person's recommended daily allowance for their product. They pack foods in certain quantity which is moderate. I think that eating more than that is no longer moderate.

Hi Oscar,
A balance diet is important. Although vitamins are normally good but overdose of Vitamin A can kills.
