Do things in the order of importance

Our choices in life are made according to our sense of our own worth” - Kaylan Pickford

With the Internet, we are all overloaded with pages of information to read, and explore. There is no more lacking in term of Information nowadays. However, we need to sift through and takes in quality information. Only then we can make use of the knowledge comprehended in our daily living.

Don't put the cart before the horse. Learn to do things in the order of importance.

Take a look at the following quotes and see what comes to your mind.

“We must be silent before we can listen.
We must listen before we can learn.
We must learn before we can prepare.
We must prepare before we can serve.
We must serve before we can lead.” - William Arthur Ward

"Change before you have to." - Jack Welch

Your actions, and your action alone, determines your worth.”- Evelyn Waugh

Before doing anything, always remember to consider whether it is right or wrong. Do consider seriously what's worth living for? Think before you act and go and do something that is worth doing! Things should be done in the order of importance.

..'things should be done in the order of importance...'
Alas! ...'Our choices in life are made according to our sense of our own worth” and we often 'put the cart before the horse' and suffer.
Thanks for sharing a great post.
Good luck.

Hi Sam...

Excellent point!

I think, at least in the United States, there is a tendency toward laziness and greed and instant gratification...

You remind us that we must do what is right, and what is really important in life!

Very nice! :-)

Blessings to you,

Jen

Hi Sam,

Thanks for your valuable thoughts.
Let's learn to prioritize based on the order of importance.

FYI, I am trying very hard not to break the theme of this blog. Well, I am thinking of starting another personal blog, then I will join all kinds of tag/meme. Sorry about that and thanks for tagging me.

Best Wishes

Hi Jennifer,

Thanks for your comments. You seem to know what I am actually trying to say in this post!

FYI, initially I had typed in similar thoughts or message that you have, to this post but I had it removed because I could not phrase it well.

I believe, many want to be successful in life whether in terms of financial, studies, relationship, etc. However, not many are willing to put in effort to achieve it. That's what I mean by putting the cart before the horse. Many people are lazy, greedy and want instant gratification.

Let's remember to do things in the order of importance first and the rest will fall in place.

Blessings to you Jennifer

This is another great quotes;

We must learn before we can prepare.
We must prepare before we can serve.
We must serve before we can lead.

Absolutely true.

Happy Thursday!

Hi Haze,

Thank you very much. Your encouragement really helps. Frankly speaking, besides being exhausted by work assignments, I was a bit depressed by the anonymous comment for my "Stop the Abuse" post. That's the reason why I had stopped posting last couple of days.

Have a nice weekend, Haze!
Best Wishes
