Live richly instead of die with riches!

"If you want to feel rich, just count the things you have that money can't buy"

Everybody want to be rich thinking that money can bring happiness! It does bring happiness but only temporary.

According to Benjamin Franklin, "Money never made a man happy yet, nor will it. The more a man has, the more he wants. Instead of filling a vacuum, it makes one."

Many might agree that Money is indeed not the most important thing in the world. Unfortunately, many still love money. Have you heard the saying "In God we trust, all others must pay cash?"

“Money will buy you a fine dog, but only love can make it wag its tail” - Richard Friedman

"There are people so poor that the only thing they have is money."

"Money can't buy friends, but it can get you a better class of enemy." - Spike Milligan

"Money often costs too much." - Ralph Waldo Emerson

Those who believe money can do everything are frequently prepared to do everything for money. Well, would you rather live richly or die with riches?

Hi Sam...

You speak of a profound truth!

I must say many of us here in America have forgotten that money does not buy happiness!

Thank you for this much needed wisdom!

Blessings to you,

I agree with this 100%. It is a shame that in modern society a persons "worth" is measured by their material things and how much money they have to obtain these material things. We are a world that is spiritually poor. I don't mind not much for being in style or having a big SUV. What I care about resides in a person's heart. All that we have/own will pass away but as eternal beings we are so much more. Many have lost sight of this as they have become mired and bogged down by the world. Yes, we do need money to sustain us but it shoud never be our master.

I enjoy your posts very much.

Blessings.

Hi Sam,
Very truthful words:
...'There are people so poor that the only thing they have is money..'
we are so lost in amassing wealth that we have forgotton basic human values i.e. love, compassion, charity, etc.
Thanks Sam, for reminder.A good post.
God bless.

My dad said this recently :"It's no point in saving up, life is meaningless to them now when son is dying..."

Yes, my parents knew about my bro's condition from the doctor just yesterday. *sob*

I think he would rather be poor to keep his son alive, not even money can do miracles now.... :(

Sam, though money is the most important thing, as we all need it to buy daily food and that sort of thing...still,money has been the cause of pain for millions of people through the ages! Its amazing, as its just a small thing to look at and hold in the hand, yet we have given it so much power.I believe that the true wealth comes from our hearts and the love we show each other.

Hi Jennifer,

Thanks for your continuous support.

I believe this not only happen to American but somehow many people had started to think that money is everything and that's why there are so much problems in the world. The priority is now topsy-turvy.

Hi Janice,

I am really sorry that your brother health condition did not improve.

Well, death is inevitable for everyone. We just don't know when our time is up. Some just have to leave this world earlier.

Indeed, money is useless in this situation. Nevertheless, God did promised everyone eternal life for those that are really keen to know and follow His plan of salvation.

Every parent loves their children. Thus, all parent are willing to spend every cents if there is hope.

Be strong and Take care Janice.

Hi Jesse,

Thanks for sharing your valuable thoughts.

I believe many (although there are some exception) do have enough for their needs. It is the wants that has causes many to spend their health to gain the wealth.

Blessing to you Jesse.

Hi, Sam, another great post. I like this one. People are always going for money, power and fame and forget about the rest until something very serious happened to them or the loved ones. Money is the roots of all evil!

While money is important and we need them but we must learn to manage it.

We must always try to find the balance in life. Health and Happiness is the two most important things in life. :)
