Don't fail to try new things!

"It is alright to try and fail, but don't fail to try!"

There is an element of risk whenever we venture into something new. The problem with many people is that they spend too much time worrying about failures, calculating risks and finally got themselves chain up and not able to take any actions to achieve anything they had dreamed about.

That is not the case with the young one. They always willing to try new things and dare to ask for this or that from their parent. They do not have any fear that their request will be rejected. This is not so when they have grown up.

Below are some quotes that might be useful:

The person who risks nothing, does nothing, has nothing, is nothing, and becomes nothing. He may avoid suffering and sorrow, but he simply cannot learn and feel and change and grow and love and live.” - Leo F. Buscaglia

“Often the difference between a successful person and a failure is not one has better abilities or ideas, but the courage that one has to bet on one's ideas, to take a calculated risk - and to act.” - Andre Malraux

“Most people can do extraordinary things if they have the confidence or take the risks. Yet most people don't. They sit in front of the telly and treat life as if it goes on forever.” - Philip Andrew Adams

“It's not because things are difficult that we dare not venture. It's because we dare not venture that they are difficult.” - Seneca

Isn't it true that we seldom procrastinate doing things that we enjoy, yet many of us frequently defer or avoid tasks that involve something new? Well, don't holds back any longer; just take all the necessary steps and success could be just around the corner for you!

You always manage to get great quotes to inspire. Thanks

Once again your quotes applied so well to your philosophy. We as adults lose that special sense of advneture in everything around them. Even in our early twenties we still have that eagerness to try and learn new things. But alas, when we mature we are too often worn maybe even scarred by the many traumas and negative experiences. It is a little harder to pick oneself up and dust off as when we are younger. I always enjoy reading and hearing about our older population trying and doing new things. What an inspiration. We all can and should tap into the adventuresome child that resides within us all. :o)

Hey Sam!

When one takes risk, one explores the arena out of his own comfort zone. And when one is out of one's comfort zone, many times latent potential inside us will spring forth.

But frankly, it take courage and a no-fear attutide towards failure to do that.

Thanks Sam. Good one!

Great motivating words:
...“The person who risks nothing, does nothing, has nothing, is nothing, and becomes nothing... 'and nothing comes out of nothing.
You are absolutely right Sam, that one must have courage to try new ideas and take 'calculated risk' in life....

Hi Titania,

Thanks for sharing your valuable thoughts. Indeed many had stopped learning and exploring new things thinking that they are too old.

Let's be the generation that continue to enjoy trying and learning new things.

Blessings to you.

Sam, its sometimes very difficult to begin something new.Its easy, as you mention here, to do the things one enjoys...and procrastinate over everything else.I have the habit of doing just that.I dont like chores so there are times I have to try and force myself, then if I am slack, I become angry with myself. This post reminds me of some important things..to try new things a lot more often, and not to procrastinate when I need to do things I dont like.Though its easier said than done.I have to try even harder to make it a good habit! Good habits can be worked on and formed, with a little change of attitude.
Thanks for the wonderful post, Sam,( which somehow came at just the right time again).... and a Happy day to you and your family.
Jesse

ps...and many thanks for all your help with the html earlier today I appreciate it a whole lot.
