Employ the Golden Rule

"So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you for this sums up the Law and the Prophets." - Matthew 7:12 (NIV)

“Practicing the Golden Rule is not a sacrifice; it is an investment.”

I believe employing the Golden Rule can even improve your blog traffic. If you digg others blog posts, your blog posts will be digged as well. If you click on the Ads, others will also do likewise. If you post comments to others blog, people will also post comments at your blog. So do to others what you would have them do to you.

Smile first because most smiles are started by other smiles. Be helpful and others will also be helpful to you. So treat people the way you'd like them to treat you.

By the way, I had started my Mandarin Blog having this Golden Rule in mind. I believe when I share how I study Mandarin, many will also share with me and I will definitely learn more!

What do you think? Have you been employing the Golden Rule?

Hello Sam,
I agree with this philosophy in blog world as well as our every day world. Too many it seems do not follow this. I may not always respond to all my comments but I will always visit those other blogs in return. It makes for a higher quality of readers.

Best wishes on your Mandarin blog.

Take care my friend,
Tawnya

Hi Krishna,

Thanks for the warm hug and encouragement. I also wish you all the best in whatever you had planned to carry out.

May we all learn to focus to serve well instead of being serve. Indeed, it is more blessed to give than to receive.

Lots of love to you Krishna.

How's your prep for the Chinese New Year?

Hi Karen,

Yup... that is indeed the Golden Rule.

I don't have to spend much time ushering the Chinese New Year. My wife makes most of the preparation. Shopping done much much earlier... Book a table for reunion. Bought tickets for the whole family to watch CJ7 by Stephen Chow at midnight before CNY.

A wonderful post, and I totally agree with you,Sam...doing something to others brings the same or a similar happening back to you..in a short time or a longer time, but it does happen.I therefore prefer to be as understanding as I can with people in the blogging world..in the hope that they would treat me with a similar respect. As for the digging of a post...I dont think I actually have an account with them and I am not too sure yet how they work ,but as soon as I do,I shall be adding the good posts to their list.Including yours, lol :)
A happy, and blessed Chinese new year to you,and your family !!Have lots of fun and be safe
