Simplicity is the Key

"The aspects of things that are most important to us are hidden because of their simplicity and familiarity." - Ludwig Wittgenstein

Have you ever seen a piece of commercial software where the next version is simpler rather than more complex? According to MSDN blog, Windows Vista is said to have over 50 million lines of code, whereas XP was said to have around 40 million.

"The wisdom of life consists in the elimination of non-essentials."

“Life is really simple, but men insist on making it complicated.” - Confucius

"Simplicity means the achievement of maximum effect with minimum means."

"It can be difficult to make things simple and it can be simple to make things difficult."

Anyway, remember to keep things simple!

Hi Sam...

Ahhh the world needs this post of yours!

Life is getting so complicated. The technology is so filled with stuff I don't need...

I dream of the day when we start to simplify rather than complicate!

Thanks for this Sam...
