Caffeine replacement found!

Today, I came across a thought-provoking post by Ilker Yoldas that mentioned our popular beverages such as coffee, tea, hot chocolate, soft drinks and energy drinks contains the evil caffeine.

Modern drug of choice
According to Steve Pavlina (How to Give Up Coffee), Caffeine is the modern drug of choice in the work world, easily accessible, socially acceptable, readily affordable, and of course perfectly legal.

Well, now that worries me after knowing the fact that it can affect my health because I just got myself addicted to coffee. Somehow, I need a cup of coffee every night to come out with a post for this blog! I am not blaming anybody except myself for being such a perfectionist. Some posts can really take me 2 to 4 hours to complete.

Encouragement - the replacement
What surprises me was that I wasn't tired at all to come out with this post. How come? Well, today I received a message from Jesse about her new post. After seeing her encouraging post about my blog, my passion suddenly shot up. That was indeed a great caffeine replacement for me today!

My heartfelt thanks to you Jesse!

"Taking an interest in what others are thinking and doing is often a much more powerful form of encouragement than praise." - Robert Martin

"The more you practice stepping into other peoples' shoes, the more you'll experience the results and benefits. This encourages and inspires you to do it even more." - Wendy Hearn

Our needs to do well
I believe everyone needs encouragement, support and motivation to do well. Be an encourager! You will definitely feel good after you have encouraged someone. By mutual support, we can build a great community!

Do you agree? If yes, do share your comments, come back often and I will likewise try my very best to visit your blog and do likewise. Hope this is agreeable to you.

Hi Surjit,
You says it rightly! - This is one of the golden rules of success

I did a quick check just now from the web and found that although green tea also contains caffeine but then it is a healthy combination.

Thanks for the suggestion.

Blessings to you my friend

Sam,

I'm going to take this time to say thank you for your blog. A year ago I would have passed by and not given you a second thought. Not because this is a bad blog, but because I was in a place in my life that revolved around other ideals, and self-improvement was not one of them.

Your blog reminds me of my path to enlightenment, and quest to better myself from the inside out. I look up to you through this blog. Again, thank you... blogs like this are a blessing and a gift to the world.

I meant to add that I initially spied this entry in my reader while sipping a nice hot mug of mocha latte... hahahaha. Gotta love synchronicity!

Very true, there are more coffee drinker! Nevertheless many people are switching to tea. Well, I still don't know how to enjoy drinking tea in small cup. For me, I drink using big cup; otherwise, it could never quench my thirst :-)

Hoper to get link love ;p

Sam Chan said...

Thanks Mr Fong.
Yup.. I am really encouraged! Great to see you again :-)

As for the link love, please try to comprehend this post first:
Shortcuts in Life are Not Worth Taking

It is very important to sow first before reaping. I do hope you will understand and take this advice.

Let's said due to a link love, people came to know about your blog and visit your blog. However, when nothing in the blog really makes the person want to return again in future, you had lost one great potential good reader instead of gaining. Thus, I suggest that you build up your blog with good content first, then only consider the link love or link exchange that many do offer. If you really want a link from me, I can give you - no problem at all but then you might not benefit at all especially at this stage. Are you clear now?

Janice, you don't have to give up on your coffee. Indeed it is not easy to give it up. Just the aroma of coffee makes me want to have a drink.

Somehow tasty food or drink are normally not a healthy choice :-)

What's important is moderate... but the problem is the possibility of getting addicted.

Hi Lili,

Very true, encouraging ourselves and others is a very important step.

This world is definitely a better one when everybody learn to encourage one another! If we don't get the encouragement from others, then we need to encourage ourselves.

It is great to know that you had managed to encourage your mum and friends to drink green tea instead of coffee.

Thanks for your continuous support. That's a great encouragement to me.
Best Wishes

Hey Sam

Recently, my partenr moved jobs, from working in a coffee shop, with an oppressive manager, that used to try to intimidate his staff into making more money to a deli caffe, where her new manager encourages and compliments her work continuosly.
As a result, she can't wait to go back to work each week and really feels a lot better about her self and what she is capable of.
On the topic of coffee, there's nothing better than that first mug in the morning.
However, I loathe the high street coffee chains. I blog from one of them due to the internet access, but having spent so long here, I can see them for what they truly are.
Comfortable, socially acceptable drug dens, which make about as much money as any drug dealer would. Who probably have the same effect on the people in 3rd world countries that grow it as happens with cocaine growers in 3rd world countries.

Okay, Ranting concluded.

Hope You're Having a Brilliant Day

Love The Blog

Hi Milad,
Welcome to acquire wisdom and live with passion. Thanks for your nice and motivating comments. I am glad that you liked my blog.

Tea also have caffeine. That's why one can also get addicted to tea. Maybe tea is a healthier drink if not consume excessive.

Milad, I encourage you to draw more cars since you love to do that. When opportunity arises, show it to car manufacturers. Maybe even have a blog about that. Well learn to kindle your strong passion about it, encouragement will comes eventually. You just need to do more and those that appreciate it will offer you encouragement. The important thing is don't give it up yourself!

My best wishes to you.
