Don't beat the traffic! - Be Careful

Tomorrow is not promised to any of us.

Watch the man on the left walking, crossing the road where there is NO car. It is so obvious that the coast on the left is clear and safe to cross. Any person would see it as safe...however, only God knows!

Take nothing for granted, not even for a split second! Be grateful for every living minute.

Whether you're the pedestrian or one of the drivers, we can come across this situation on the road almost daily especially when someone is trying to beat the traffic lights.

Believe It or Not! The guy escaped alive!! according to the Snopes.

Remember, you are a role model. Your children learn by example, so you should always practice safe driving techniques around them, including wearing your safety belt, paying attention to the road, following traffic laws, and treating other drivers with respect.

Let's remember to appreciate and treasure each day, because we don't know how many we're going to be given.

Yes Sam,you are right. We must remember:
"When nothing is sure, anythig can happen."
Therefore learn to:
'...appreciate and treasure each day, because we don't know how many we're going to be given..."
Thanks for this universal message.
Good luck.

Hi Lili,

The article in Snopes mentioned that the guy should had stopped because the crosswalk signal was red. Nevertheless he was very unlucky for the accident and yet fortunate to be alive!

Indeed, we ought to learn to appreciate and treasure each day dearly!

Many Blessings to you, Lili

Hi Sam,

I have seen people running across the road just to save a few minutes of waiting time at the traffic light. We really need to remind ourself to cherish our every moment.

Hi Life Reflection,

You are right! We ought to cherish every moment we have by reminding ourselves that we don't know how many we're going to be given.

Let's obey traffic laws setting good examples for our children.

My Best Wishes

I am glad that the guy had survived and I believed that he had learnt his lesson.
Safety rules are there to protect us, but we must still be careful when crossing the road even if it is green light because we may have obey the rule but someone might break the rule and cause us harm.
If we are careful, we will minimize the risk. Most accident happened because the victims are careless.

Hi Honman,
Thanks for adding your insight to my post. I agree with you that one must be careful when crossing the road even if it is green light because someone else might break the traffic law and cause us harm!

Anyway, accident can happen even though one can be very careful. I had read about incident where people got killed because of car collide into their house. Thus, we ought to appreciate and treasure each day!

Best Wishes
